Janhvi Kapoor writes a heartfelt note for mother Sridevi before Dhadak release
Janhvi Kapoor’s tribute note to her mom Sridevi will be played in the beginning of Dhadak.
Janhvi Kapoor is preparing for the release of her debut Bollywood movie Dhadak and she has decided to use this opportunity for a special cause. A heartfelt note from Janhvi for her mother and late actor Sridevi will be played in the beginning of the film.
According to a report in Bollywoodlife, a source close to the film said, “Janhvi has written a heartfelt note to Sridevi which has been attached in the very beginning of the film, along with their picture. She wanted to dedicate her first film to her mother and it was only obvious for the makers to include this special tribute in the film.”
The film directed by Shashank Khaitan is slated to release on July 20 and also stars Ishaan Khatter. The remake of hit Marathi film Sairat, Dhadak marks the entry of Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishaan to the Hindi film industry. He was, however, seen in Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi’s Beyond the Clouds, in which he was cast opposite Malavika Mohanan.
Janhvi had earlier paid a tribute to her mom, Sridevi on Instagram, in which she wrote, “There’s a gnawing hollowness in my chest that I know I’ll have to learn how to live with. Even with all the emptiness, I still feel your love… Every time I close my eyes, I only have good things to remember. ‘You were too good, too pure, too full of love. That’s why he took you back. But at least we had you.”
She added, “My friends always said I’m perpetually happy, and now I realise it was because of you. ‘I didn’t have to rely on anyone or anything because the only person I ever needed was you. You are part of my soul. My best friend. My reason for everything. ‘The imprint you left on us is so strong, it might nust be enough to keep us going, but never enough to be fully whole.”
