In comparison, Marvel’s last film, Avengers: Infinity War opened to 31 crore on its way to make an all-time Hollywood record of more than 250 crore earned at the box office. Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 2 continued the momentum with a 11 crore opening day and a 33 crore weekend. The recent Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom made 53 crore in its opening weekend in India.

Ant-Man and the Wasp’s international roll-out is being staggered because of the ongoing FIFA World Cup. The film opened in the US on July 13 and will be released in several European territories next week. The film has so far made $190 million worldwide on a reported budget of $162 million.

Marvel’s next film will be February’s Captain Marvel, which will be followed by Avengers 4 in May.
