UPSEE schedule announced, registration forms out on Jan 23

Dr Abdul Kalam Technical University announces schedule for entrance exams to undergraduate and postgraduate courses in state’s colleges. Makes submission of the Aadhaar card number mandatory for all applicants

The Dr Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) on Thursday announced the schedule for the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE 2018-19). It has also made submission of the Aadhaar card number mandatory for all applicants, except for those from Meghalaya, Jammu and Kashmir and Assam.

This year, the entrance exam for admission to undergraduate courses would be held on April 29. For postgraduate courses, the test would be held on May 5 and 6.

“Entrance exam for B Tech, B Arch and B Pharma will be held on April 29. For MBA, MCA, BFA,BHMCT the exam will be on May 5 and May 6,” AKTU spokesmen Aashish Mishra said.

In a meeting on Thursday, it was decided that registration forms for undergraduate and post-gradutate courses will be made available from January 23.

“Students can download the registration form. The last date to submit the form is March 15. If applicants miss this deadline, they can submit the form, with a late fee by March 31,” he said, adding that the hall ticket will be available on the university’s website from April 16 .

The AKTU administration said the examination results would be declared by the first week of June.

Counselling for applicants who clear the test for allotment of seats in desired colleges would begin late in June. “First round of counselling would be on June 25. On July 29 and 30, spot counselling will be done for seats left vacant,” Mishra said.

Over 600 colleges (both public and private) offering various courses in engineering, bio-tech, pharmacy and management are affiliated with the university and around 168 of them are located in the western Uttar Pradesh.

The UPSEE is not limited to students with a UP domicile. Any Indian or NRI applicant with class 10, 12 mark-sheets and other necessary documents can apply for the entrance examination.

Over the last two years, the AKTU administration has made the process of registering for the UPSEE online; the hall ticket is also issued through their website.
