After OnePlus and Huawei, it's Lenovo's turn to unveil its new flagship smartphone. While OnePlus implemented the tried-and-tested formula of specifications-plus-affordable price tag with OnePlus 6, Huawei leveraged Artificial Intelligence and its camera prowess with Honor 10and Huawei P20 Pro. Lenovo which has kept low profile for quite some time is now gearing up for its new flagship smartphone, Lenovo Z5.

The latest Lenovo Z5 teaser, posted on Chinese social networking website Weibo, reveals that the phone will come with improved battery life, offering up to 1,080 hours of standby time. This is approximately 45 days of standby time. Note that the company hasn't revealed the battery capacity of the phone yet. Considering that the phone will have a slim profile, Lenovo Z5 is unlikely to have a large archaic battery, instead it is likely to deliver better battery life using software algorithms and optimisations.

AI camera

Apart from better battery life, Lenovo is also hinting at a deeper integration of Artificial Intelligence on its Lenovo Z5. It may be recalled that a number of Android companies like Asus, LG and Huawei are using AI at core of their latest flagship phones. For instance, LG has included its AI platform ThinQ branding to its latest LG G7 flagship phone. In the case of Lenovo, one of the latest teasers reveals an AI-powered camera.

The camera samples show photos captured in low light somewhere around dusk and dawn. Judging by the camera samples, the results appear impressive showing the camera's low light capability. The photos also carry a watermark with the phone's name and 'AI Dual Camera'. This confirms that Lenovo Z5 will feature a dual-camera setup with AI capabilities.

Truly bezel-less

Lenovo Z5 has already created a lot of buzz with its all-glass (truly bezel-less) front, going against the current trend of notch display design. To further highlight the bezel-less display, a sketch of the smartphone was posted online. Through the sketch we can see that Lenovo Z5 will indeed have a full-display design. It's yet to be seen how the company will make do for the front camera sensor and earpiece.

Hard-drive like storage

Lenovo Z5 will come with a mammoth built-in storage of 4TB, which will be the maximum for any smartphone thus far. Recently, China's Smartisan launched new R1 smartphone with a whopping 1TB of storage. The company claims the phone will be capable of running computers as well.
