Salisbury fire update: Huge fire near Atlantic Avenue leads to black smoke across city; visuals emerge
A large fire broke out on Atlantic Avenue in Salisbury, Massachusetts, sending dense black smoke across the city as firefighters battled a fourth-alarm blaze.
A large fire erupted at a building on Atlantic Avenue in Salisbury, Massachusetts on Friday evening. Dense, black smoke from the fire was visible across the city of Salisbury. According to New England Fire Wire, the fire is fifth alarm.
According to the latest update from the Salisbury Fire Department, via police scanner reports, the fire is fourth alarm now. NBC10 Boston reports that the South Hampton Fire-Rescue is also responding to the incident.

Here's another video of the blaze shared by local resident Mark Roberge. It shows locals gathered around the building as flames razed what appears to be a a residential area.
It is unclear if anyone was injured. So far. the Salisbury Fire Department has not issued an update in the incident.
Atlantic Avenue lies in the Salisbury Beach area along the Atlantic Ocean. It runs through the coastal/beach section of town, near Ocean Street, Cable Avenue and Beach Road.
