The pre-release event of Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups was disrupted after a speaker's stand collapsed at the venue in Hyderabad.

Falling speaker injures fans at Toxic pre-release event
The pre-release event of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups took place at Malla Reddy Group of Institutions in Medchal-Malkajgiri district on Saturday. The film's stars were present, and a large number of fans had gathered to see Yash and other members of the film's team.
According to police officials, some fans climbed the speaker stand, and a group was also reportedly performing stunts on it. At this point, it lost its balance and suddenly collapsed. Some of those who had climbed on it reportedly fell from a height and suffered injuries. The injured were immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The incident was also captured on video by people at the venue, with the footage later shared on social media.
Yash pauses event, directs organisers to help injured
Yash briefly halted the event after he learned of the mishap and asked the organisers to tend to the injured fans first. The actor was on stage, speaking, when the speaker's stand collapsed. He paused his speech midway and asked, “Are they okay? Please check.”
The actor again halted the event, pausing his speech, as he noticed other fans trying to climb on other speaker stands. Requesting them to get down for their own safety, the actor resumed the event only after the commotion died down.
All about Toxic
Meanwhile, the trailer for Toxic was released earlier this month. The film follows a larger-than-life gangster story and explores themes of love, power, betrayal and redemption.
The film also focuses on the relationship between Raya and his son. The film also features Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth and Huma Qureshi in key roles.
The film is a heavily anticipated title, as evidenced by the significant buzz its advance bookings are generating. The film's advance bookings opened on Friday, five days before its release. It has already grossed ₹18 crore in advance bookings on its first day, with three days still to go before release. Produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic is scheduled for worldwide release in theatres on August 26.
